Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
A helicopter flying above a popular coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos posted online depict the helicopter starting to spin above the beach then descending near the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a staircase near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
